Thanksgiving Wine Bag

Sat, Sep 24, 22  |  spirits wine

We know that hosting the perfect Thanksgiving can be stressful. You’re already overwhelmed with menu planning and selecting complementary wines can feel daunting. So, let us take some of the work off your hands! We searched the world over and selected six excellent wines, perfect for pairing with your Thanksgiving meals.

Chateau Roustan Rosé
Rhône Valley, France

Rosé all day, every day! This Chateau Roustan Rosé is perfectly balanced between sweet and dry, sure to satisfy even the pickiest drinkers. Exquisite notes of sweet strawberries and raspberries are accentuated by a slight acidity, making for a versatile pairing wine. I would serve this throughout the meal, from appetizers to the main course.

Dr Volkmar Riesling Kabinet
Rheinhessen, Germany

Riesling is a chef’s dream, esteemed for its ability to pair with an array of cuisines. This Dr. Volkmar Riesling Kabinet is no different, refined with a pleasing bouquet of apple, peach, and citrus fruits. Like the Chateau Roustan Rosé, this versatile wine can be served throughout the meal, but it really shines when paired with ham.

Suvali Chardonnay
California

This Suvali Chardonnay sparkles with bright notes of fresh apple and pear. Hints of oak make this wine ideal for the dinner table as it works well with both meat and vegetables. I can’t wait to pair with creamy mashed potatoes—the more butter, the better!

Sonoma River Pinot Noir
Sonoma County, California

Your table would not be complete without a Pinot Noir (the quintessential holiday wine.) Red fruit and baking spices make this Sonoma River Pinot Noir a heavenly pairing for your turkey. It also perfectly complements savory roasted vegetables.

Pacific Vista Dark Red Blend
California

When you want a wine that holds its own, reach for this juicy Pacific Vista Dark Red Blend. It’s silky smooth and punctuated with ripe blackberries, cherries, and plums. Velvety tannins and a luxurious finish pair well with heartier meats and stuffing with gravy.

Cielo D’Or Semi Seco
Penedes, Spain

My favorite way to end a meal is with something light and effervescent. This beautiful cava is crisp, semi-sweet, and deliciously fruity, with a hint of cinnamon toast. Brilliant winter flavors are wrapped in a million tiny bubbles, and end with a smooth finish. The Cielo D’Or Semi Seco is the perfect pairing with dessert or as dessert itself.

Cheers!
